Status4all are very proud to announce the lunch of the ‘Out door skills project’ in partnership with Demesne community centre on Tuesday the 10th of May 2016, 6.00pm 0 8.00pm. It promises to a fantastic evening and will include: Healthy snacks, LIVE music, woodworking taster sessions, card making and more! A Riverside employment and skills officer will also be available to answer any questions in relation to training, volunteering and employment. It’s going to be a great night! The project outdoors skills project is for 16 – 25 year old people, come along and see Phantom Quest perform LIVE! Health Action project in partnership with Living Well

We are proud to announce a New Health Action project in partnership with Living Well.
The project will take place every other Tuesday between 1.00 - 3.00pm. We have different taster courses each session

Ideal for participants interested in art classes, arts & craft, wood working, card making and more! or you can simply join in our small steps walking group, In additional to these classes, there will also there will be an Health Trainer on hand for health checks at every session.

The next meetings all Tuesday 29 March for the Art taster class

24 May taster in wood working (make a photo frame or a bird stand (then every other Tuesday)

The project is about people making choices on activities etc based on health and wellbeing

Childrens Easter activities Langley

If you have children aged between aged between 5-12 years old and they love dancing, then come along to our Easter street dance week here at Demesne, it’s only 50p a day and all children will perform what they have learnt on Friday the 8th of April. The week will commence on Monday the 4th of April, simply call in or telephone for full details and keep your children entertained this Easter with our fun dance camp

Following on from the success of our past health events, we are proud to announce our next event which will be held on the Thursday 25th of February 2016. Please fee free to spread the word, or collect one of our information postcards to give to a friend if you’re passing the Demesne Community centre.

Drama Group

New Childrens’s drama project starts Thursday 14th January for 12 weeks

for  ages 4 – 11 years.  Price:£1

The project is designed to help children develop performance skills as well as encouraging important social skills such as communication, confidence and teamwork. The children will rehearse and perform scenes and songs from musicals, films and television past and present.

Tackle the

Tackle the Take Away is a 4 week course starting Tuesday 2nd february for 4 weeks 10.00am – 12noon.

The course involves cooking fromscratch each week and tasting it at the end of each session.  The course is about looking at healthy eating particulary around takeaway’s and fat, salt, sugar and portion sizes.

Demesne Community Association would like to acknowledge how grateful to Riverside we are for their support in Men and Sheds project. Over the past few months, volunteers Stephen and Tony from the workshop have been mentoring local people as well as the young people from Status 4 All in making garden ornaments and garden planters. Together they have produced some amazing items, which have now gone on sale with all proceeds being put towards sustaining the project in the future. Please see our projects page for full details
